Terms of use

Last updated: 28 October 2026

These terms of use ("terms") are an agreement between you and Anthony Playmith Sanchez ("we", "us") for the Worldly app and the website getworldly.app. By using Worldly, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

Who can use Worldly

You must be at least 13 years old to use Worldly. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you need permission from a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.

Your licence to use the app

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use Worldly on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. The app, its design, code, texts, quiz questions and brand belong to us or our licensors, and all rights not expressly given to you are reserved.

Accounts

An account is optional. If you create one, give accurate information, keep your password safe and tell us if you think someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity in your account.

Premium and payments

Your content

You own the data and content you add to Worldly, such as your places, trips, costs and photos. You give us permission to store, copy and process it only as needed to run the app for you, as described in the privacy policy.

Suggestions and reports: if you suggest a quiz question or send us a report or idea, you give us a free, worldwide, perpetual and irrevocable licence to use, change and publish it in Worldly without paying you. Do not send content that you do not have the right to share.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Information in the app

Maps, borders, country lists, regions, cities, airports, UNESCO data, place descriptions, quiz answers, flight distances and exchange rates are provided for general information and entertainment. They may be incomplete, out of date or inaccurate.

Third-party content and services

Worldly uses open data and content from third parties, such as Wikipedia, under their own licences. They are listed on the credits page. Sign-in, payments and other features rely on third-party services that have their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party content or services.

Worldly is not affiliated with or endorsed by UNESCO, the Wikimedia Foundation or any airline or airport.

Changes and availability

We are continually improving Worldly, so we may add, change or remove features. We aim to keep Worldly available, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors. If we stop offering Worldly, we will give reasonable notice where possible so that you can keep a copy of your data.

Ending these terms

You can stop using Worldly and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if the law requires us to.

Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Worldly is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or opportunities, arising from your use of Worldly. Our total liability for all claims relating to Worldly is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Premium in the 12 months before the claim and 10 US dollars.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica. Before starting any legal claim, please contact us at support@getworldly.app so that we can try to resolve the issue informally. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Costa Rica.

If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may also bring a claim in the courts of that country if its laws allow it.

General

If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest remains in effect. If we do not enforce a right, we do not give it up. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to a company we set up or to a successor of Worldly, and we will tell you if that happens.

These terms are between you and us, not Google. Google is not responsible for Worldly or its content.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If we make important changes, we will tell you in the app or by email before they apply. If you continue to use Worldly afterwards, you accept the new terms.
